Monte di Malo

Monte di Malo is a town of 2,912 inhabitants, which stretches over an area of 23 km². It is located at an altitude of 374 meters above sea level. Its inhabitants are called the Montemaladensi. The town is located on a hill overlooking the town of Malo and is known for the presence of the cave of "Buso della Rana". In the area of the common lies, in fact, the only entrance to this largest Italian grotto with a single way in. Approximately 30,000 meters of horizontal formation, which can be accessed only with guided tours. In the village of Priabona, the lovers of palaeontology find a unique geological stratum rich in fossils.
