Malo is a town of approximately 15,000 inhabitants, which stretches over an area of 30 km². Its inhabitants are called the Maladensi. It is a small town surrounded by nature, known for its historic carnival. The event attracts tourists and fans from across the region due to its centuries-old tradition. Malo is also the birthplace of the famous writer Luigi Meneghello, and the set of his novel "Libera Nos a Malo". In the early 1900s, the area experienced a period of great industrial expansion, especially in the fields of silk and brick.
